As a life-long dog lover who is passionate about improving relations between dogs and humans, opening the doors of Estill Dog Psychology was truly a dream come true. I am a dog behaviorist specializing in dog psychology, but that\u2019s not where my work ends. Much of my success comes from also teaching humans what dog psychology is and why it\u2019s so important. This is truly the foundation for healthier relationships and long-term bonds.<\/p>\n

I was born and raised in North Fort Worth, not far from where Estill Dog Psychology is located today. My father worked with hunting dogs for most of his life, training bird-hunting dogs from when he was a boy. He passed on to me the importance of having a healthy relationship with animals and the crucial roles that animals and humans play in each other\u2019s lives. Growing up, there was always a variety of animals in our home: fish, hamsters, lizards, turtles, birds, cats, rabbits, ferrets, and even homing pigeons. The one constant was that we always had dogs.<\/p>\n

When I graduated high school, I left my parent\u2019s house to play college baseball. After that, I moved on to a professional career in business operations, but I never felt fulfilled or passionate about what I was doing. When the opportunity came along to team up with Bevill Dog Behavior, I left the corporate world for the world I loved and was the head dog behaviorist there for many years.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n[\/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”3vh”][nectar_single_testimonial testimonial_style=”basic” quote=”In dog behavior it\u2019s not a race, it\u2019s a journey. We intentionally began Estill Dog Psychology as a small business, so we could offer the specialized attention required for effective relationship-building between dogs and humans. As our business has grown, that priority remains. Today we offer board and train, private lessons, public speaking, and yoga with dogs of all breeds, ages, and sizes.<\/p>\n

The majority of our client base comes from word of mouth and repeat customers, which is something we are so grateful and proud about. Helping humans and dogs forge life-long bonds is what we are all about. To me, it\u2019s much more than a business, it\u2019s my life.
